does anyone know how to bench test a headunit,
more specifically what pins need powering and ground
like this guy has done

I guess you will need a spare wiring connector for the rear of the head unit, then run the relevant power wires to a battery or ideally a bench power supply.

Pins marked +UB and Code need 12v. Earth, needs an earth.

I've always used an old PC power supply :). Actually used one as a stereo in the home for quite a while! :)
