Budget Induction Kit - Anyone have experience of it?
« on: October 27, 2014, 08:37:08 pm »
Found these for sale over on Ebay and wondered if anyone had fitted one or had any experience - might be worth a punt for £80!  :signLOL:

I have messaged them and the tubing is made out of polished Aluminum - doesn't look too different to the Neuspeed kit just MUCH cheaper

Any opinions?

Diameter is too small for that length of pipe. Most others like the Revo etc. Increase in diameter after the MAF sensor

Sure I saw one of those on here and it snapped where it mounts to the side of the engine?!

I've got one of these on mine, it's OK I guess and it makes great noises though I couldn't tell you what gains it makes (if any) though I have made mine go all the way down into the fog light surround and I've cut holes into the fog light surround so it gets cold air.

What's mentioned above is true though, mine has snapped by the bracket where it bolts up to the engine.

Cheers for the info fellas - will give it a miss if it actually snaps! Best I keep saving for the twintake!

Dont want to open a can of worms  :signLOL:
Had a twintake before and enjoyed the noise - any alternative suggestions?
Guess REVO one rates pretty highly?

Twintake is one of the quietest (maybe THE quietest) and one of the best looking, but it's restrictive on high power setups - if you are sticking with your K03 turbo then you won't lose much power compared to the better kits.

Highest rated kits are:

-Revo
-EVOMS
-ITG
NOW: 2015 Golf R DSG 5 Door, Lapiz Blue, 19s, Discover Nav, Reversing Camera
GONE:2007 Black GTI Edition 30 3dr

MTC is also a great kit if on a budget and works well. Using an OE shaped oval MAF housing would also be beneficial
