Golf GTI for gravel driving @ Wales Rally GB

hi everyone

I am doing wales rally gb in 2 weeks time and for the recce ill use my dsg golf mk5

i already have bilsteins, a sump guard, gravel tyres and have tested the car

its great but i really would like to know if its possible to completely disconnect all the driving aids..
and is there a LSD available for the golf mk5? cutting out when wheel spinning is a massive problem at the moment


any help or advice would be appreciated :laugh:

LSD is avalible for the mk5...quaife do one & there's wavetrac too
Not cheap though,around 1k + fitting...if I remember correctly it's just under 2k fitted..

I thought turning the ESP off allowed the wheels to spin freely..?

Perhaps there's some fuses that can be ripped out :evilgrin:

Oh and you gotta send some pics of this motor after an offroad muddy blast. :happy2:

@Neilgti coded out the steering angle sensor and that fully turned of the traction control as far as I know

If you're going to do it again next year and want to go all out, you should consider installing a Haldex 4wd (as found on the R32 for example). Bet that'd make one hell of a difference!

Audi R8 hand brake calipers I think? Separates the hand brake duties away from the rear calipers if I'm thinking on the right lines?
