Newbie in Dorset - 2005 Shadow Blue 5dr DSG
« on: October 08, 2014, 10:07:05 pm »
Hi all
Bought my GTI last summer after a string of other VAG models over the years, including a couple of mk2s and a mk3 16v. Also got a '62 Beetle, hence the username I use here and on other forums.

The mk5 is a shadow blue 5door with factory xenons, heated leather, sunroof, DSG with paddleshift.
Since I've had it I've put in a leather centre armrest, Parrot MKi, highline dash, OEM removable tow bar, changed the standard 17s to 18" Monza Shadow reps and done a few VCDS tweaks.

On the cards is a stereo upgrade to include DAB.

Sorry for the poor photo... really should take some better ones!

Cheers  :happy2:

Yep the spec is good - xenons and sunroof were important to me, would've actually been just as happy with tartan cloth but hey ho! The other bits I wanted were easy enough to bolt on  Blue wasn't my first, or second, choice of colour but grew to love it in the metal - reminds me of my Mystic Blue mk3.

Hi Tim, great minds and all that, collecting my shadow blue tomorrow from Lincoln, pretty much the same spec as yours, a 2008 with 58k on the clock. Definitely need to post some photos. We should be fine as long as we never meet up, Tim and Tom in 5 door blue cars, who would be confused  :happy2:

Cheers, Tom
