Painting sideskirts & bumpers, texture or not?

going to colourcode my rear, side, front lip bumper on my gti to tornadored, but question is that should i just tell themt o paint on the rubbertexture? will i see any differce between smoothed or texture.

I wouldn't personally, better to sand and fill for a better finish

need to sand & high primer first before the finish paint

ok left the parts to the bodyshop today and they told me they will be smoothing as much as they can.  :driver:

It will look so much better sanded flat, I've made that mistake before...





Looks noticeably duller with the orange peel texture (top pic), just didn't look right against the rest of the cars bodywork.

bodyworker told me he will do the best to get it flat  :happy2:

It's a complete pita job to do.

Sand the plastic with 240/320 then plastic adhesion promoter followed by high build primer, then flat the lot again before going on with colour. It takes for ever to do lol
