Mk 5 golf standard stereo question help please

Hi, I've recently bought a golf tdi and it's got a rubbish aftermarket stereo fitted. Is there any way of being able to find the correct stereo that was fitted at the factory by looking at any codes I've got in my history folder with the random codes at the front that someone told me is the build code? Thank answer would be great thank you in advance

It will almost certainly be a RCD300 in 90% of cases.
