The alty fault is: 01117 - Generator Terminal DF Load Signal: Implausible Signal

Re: ESP/ABS, Reason I was going to try for the brake pedal switch was the cheapness of the part and that the rosstech wiki specifies it as a possible solution to the g201 error: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/01435#01435_-_Brake_Pressure_Sensor_1_.28G201.29:_Electrical_Fault_in_Circuit
Read somewhere that if its the brake pedal switch then the cruise control won't cancel via with a brake tap.

Is there any particular ABS revision that's best?  Like the Rev Q Throttle bodies..?

You can read the pedal switch in block 060 iirc. When you press the pedal it will go from a 0 to a 1. The switch works when a magnet inside the master cylinder passes the sensor. Not like the old mk4 ones that were on the pedal.

As your pressure sensor reads 250 bar (it's max reading) then my money is on that. There is only one version. Bought as a repair kit for not much money now.

What have you tried so far with the alternator issue?

Cheers Alex, not tried much atm, was waiting on a loom (that hasn't materialised) as the Alternator / Pulley / Battery / Belt are all fairly new.

Haven't got much time atm, is it dangerous to be driving with the G201 problem?  I'm not doing mega miles, but still.

Also, by actually getting the G201 error is the system communicating with the part?  OR could it be a wiring issue... reason I'm hanging on that, is that it's so conicidental that I didn't even drive the car far after having everything out; round the block and that error showed up... just don't want to chuck hundreds at it, for it to be wiring related.
