I just fitted a new style Cluster (from a 2010 golf plus) into a 2007 Golf GT

Parts required Cluster (Scirocco or Golf Plus)
Adaptor Loom
2x new transponders

I will have a look and post up some part numbers

I think on early cars they would also require a newer ABS Pump

Pin outs are different between the 2x clusters

and the plug is in a different place

So an adaptor has the pin outs OLD > NEW

You could solder some wires to the existing but using the adaptor made it easier
