Hi guys I have a 07 mk5 gti 3dr. I removed the stock wheel and fitted an aftermarket omp wheel and boss. All was fine until
I removed the omp wheel and re-fitted my stock gti wheel, now everytime I turn the ignition to live the horns go off for about 3 seconds and stop. But the horns won't work off the steering wheel....
I have had the wheel off again and checked all the spade connections etc and all are ok, I have removed and re-fitted horns etc and made no difference at all.

I'm lost as what to try next any help would be greatly Appreciated.

Thanks

Its possible steering wheel module needs recoding? Either that or check the airbag is seated correctly?

Any vcds errors?

When I fitted my mfsw the horn didn't work correctly until the coding was adjusted. Maybe it just needs re applying in vcds?

Where would I find the code to re-code it?

Thanks for your help

In vcds steering control module. You see a code in the long coding section.
Vcds will tell you what each digit means so you can build up your code to put in the box.
