So the first mod, highline 973 clocks fitted by Eddie-NL (big big thanks). Eddie also coded in red lit needles!  Well happy

Some pics

Clocks/dials look nice, but excuse my ignorance what do you mean by Eddie coding your needles red, I thought they naturally displayed blue background and red needles?

They are illuminated with the lights on (back lighting and needles lit)

I have coded the needles to be lit all the time without the backlighting on
Argh I see, is there no end to your talents. Have you developed a website yet?

Looks much better :happy2:

you can change the plugs if you can get the terminals out.
Or cut the wires with plugs of your old looms and solder them on
Cheers ed.

I was just thinking about this today, however do the colours on the old seat and new seat match up? For eg, should I still match up the green to green,  brown to brown and white to white from the floor to the seat loom?

I've got a similar problem with airbag warning lights because I swapped seats, and rather than chop up wires for now, I'm going to use these;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321308877872?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I've yet to fit them as I forgot to bring a spanner with me to disconnect my battery before messing about with the air bag system. Be advised, while your air bag light is on your other air bags will not deploy in a crash. Also it's an MOT failure to have the air bag light.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Thanks dude. In my old golf I made a loom and it cleared the light, on this car I would prefer if the seat airbag was actually active. I hope someone can advise if the wires colours on the newer seat match the floor wires.

Swapped the looms over today from my old seats onto the new seats. It was all plug and play, no need for soldering and used vcds to clear lights. Happy days !

Lol. They were off my old seats. I just transferred them to the GTI ones.

I followed the guide made by @Eddie-NL and the seats i took them off from didnt even have the bracket attached to the seat!

It still holds well though by using the 5 screws
