Baby Seats
The wheel man:
Looking at the for sale section i noticed the Blue has a babyseat for sale (free plug!). This got me thinking, as in the next 12 months or so (if the little chaps are swimming fine!!) my wife and I will be trying for our first baby. Now ive already mentioned that i want a black seat to match the interior but know about as much about seats as i do handbags!!!!
There are plenty of old uns on this site that have kids so what have you used and whats good? Like the idea of a Reccaro but are they any good????

Sorry to be old manish :signLOL:
you need to think practical here recaro is cool when there older but what about newborn?
you want a seat thats removable from the isofix base so you can lift them and the seat out and straight into pram/buggy so get one of those 3in1 things life will be alot easier they last till they are 3-4 years as you have 2 seats.

we had a britax black n charcoal one was really good it reclined aswell, (think it was eclipse) but youll need one from new born first, we had a buggie that the chair unclipped to use as rear facing, then as dan got older got the britax, then we upgraded to another, (never stops) if youve got leather then a good buy is a liner on the seat first as the seat will leave a indent/impression on the leather as the seat belts tighten down, i got it from halfords, grip-it. hes now in a graco-junior which we have x2, one in each motor, and a spare one for nan n grandads car. told ya never stops.
you could also get a ISO-FIX seat to use the fixings, built in. but if your running two cars then the seat has to be compatable for both. and the airbag switch comes in handy from new born so you can put baby in the front rear facing,
but if its a girl youll probly need PINK.
good luck

I've been looking at this recently. Rear facing for new born. The seat we looked at (cant remember the make now) but you can either fix with a belt or get the ISO or seatbelt base so you can just clip it in.
Seat = £90ish
ISO base = £105ish
Seatbelt Base =-£79ish
Soon adds up!
Depending on what buggy you get too you can get adapters to the seat straight in but bear in mind a new born should not really be left in a car seat for more than 90mins at a time.
