Uneven suspension levels on drivers side
« on: November 05, 2014, 04:35:18 pm »
Hi folks,

I have just measured my arch clearance (centre of wheel to lip of arch) on my ED30 and the drivers side is all over the place - and you can see that a mile off.

I get around 360mm for the clearance on the passenger side front and rear, but on the drivers i get 350mm front and 375mm rear.

Has anyone got any experience of this previously? Ill get the car up and have a look around to see if there is anything obvious to me also, but it does seem quite a difference between them.

Thanks
Andy

Ground height differences?
Worn or damaged springs / dampers.

Yeah, the rear sits too high, and the front sits too low.

The front sounds feasible if the suspension has worn, just not sure why the back would lift up.

Are you on standard springs as a snapped coil is not uncommon.

I am on standard springs yeah. Will take a look if the rain gives over for a bit.

The rear being high concerns me as it also appears to have had a repair to the rear quarter panel and tailgate - I really hope nothing is bent that cannot be replaced!

Check to see if the springs have been replaced on just one side.

As you just said about damage, it might be worth having a look...
If it's not broke, Mod it.....

Silver is the way !
