ABS & ESP Lights coming on but no fault codes
« on: November 06, 2014, 02:56:31 pm »
Should that be happening?
I've researched on here so i kinda know what the fault might be but without any codes i can't determine which wheel is at fault...
The lights aren't on permanent and only occasionally, the only common feature is when they do come on it's after about 5 minutes driving.
So...ABS sensor or the ring on the bearing?...i just don't know which one.
I don't have VCDS, just a generic code reader but it's served me well over the years.
Thanks in advance
Chris

You really do need vcds in order to determine exactly the problem. The ring bearing went on mine and the esp light etc came on after about  5/10 mins of driving

Just to tie this up, borrowed another scanner and got the rear right ABS Sensor code (mechanical) so it's obviously the bearing bit that needs replacing :happy2:
