Fuel smell in oil

Hi,

Not sure whether im being paraniod or not but A friend changed my cam follower on wednesday and I checked my oil as it sounded a touch more tappety today and oil was filth and smelt of fuel ... Is this normal?

A faint smell of fuel is ok, if your oil level is rising then it could be that your HPFP seal is leaking  :scared:

Certainly sounds like an oil change will do it some good. Give it a while when draining to get as much old oil out before replacing it, and clean the filter housing with lots of paper towel too. Check again in a weeks time and if it's the same or less then all good.
