Mk5 Gti - jetex exhaust
« on: November 09, 2014, 09:28:17 am »
Hi, a newbie question...does anyone have any feedback of jetex exhausts on the mk5 gti dsg.
I don't want anything silly loud so any experiences much appreciated.

Thanks

Most people on here will tell you to get a BCS exhaust system (currently a group buy running to get a good discount), but it depends on your budget. Jetex are a good company, but Milltek is probably the second most popular exhaust brand on here.

Have a look through the mods catalogue mate, loads of info here;

Thanks mate, working on a slight budget as I have a few other things I want to do namely wheels, xenons, nav etc. plus not too bothered about the performance, more cosmetics and sound as it's the wife's car.

I would avoid Milltek then, as noise levels, even from the louder cat-back, are only slightly above OEM exhaust notes. You'll be better off getting the Xenons and audio sorted first and keeping an eye out on the for sale section for a used BCS Powervalve system, those have the best noise and best performance too. :happy2:

I had a full jetex 3" turbo back system( 200 cell sport cat downpipe ) resonated fitted for over 2 years after the first few months I bought a Jetex non res center section as the resonated center was to silent

The Jetex non res turbo back sounded perfect louder than standard but not mental, absolutely no drone at all when cruising on the motorway etc

Thanks for the feedback...much appreciated.

It's just the rear section/backbox I'm looking at for the moment.
