Another Noob

Hi

Just got a Mk5 GTI last month after selling my Impreza WR1 cause the wife was scared to drive it :chicken: .....or was I scared to let her drive it?  :scared:
Getting the wings replaced under warranty and a few other rust areas done. Also need to restore the headlights as they are looking a bit foggy.
Other than that need new badges for the grille and boot (heard it was over £100 for the tailgate handle one :surprised:) and I will be happy.
Looking forward to reading and learning all about what I'm driving.  :driver:

Welcome mate. There's a few rear badges (complete units) on eBay for much less than that! Also, use the wanted and for sale sections on here (when you get enough posts) to source bits you need.

Thanks for the welcomes!  Had a look on fleabay for a tailgate badge/handle and found this one listed, are all MK5s the same? as the 3 lugs do look a little different from some other ones listed? Thanks for any advise  :happy2:

The ones you've listed is the original old style which is prone to whiteworm, avoid that. Get yourself a latter 3D version or even better the Mk6 beveled 3D version, all of these are plug and play......as is the one you listed.

Welcome to the group, interesting to hear about your foggy headlamps, I've had my GTi for a month now and wondered about the misting inside when the weather was rain, rain and more rain.
