Here is the drive also took a video. Sorry not got anything to edit it on my computer. Something clips the drive on entry when fully loaded 4 up plus shopping etc. You can see this about 54 seconds in.

Well, I can see your problem. At best you can get the Eibach Pro-Kit and always enter with an unloaded car, but it's a risk. If you could get someone else with a GTI and Eibach Pro-Kit fitted to test drive would be safer.

I'm betting that a fully loaded car with OEM springs lowers quite a bit still.

I've had to ask passengers to get out of my Golf before entering some garages... :signLOL:

Installed Polar Fis Advanced today.

Main reason i wanted it was for the mirror dip on reverse.

It works but goes to a different position everytime?  :sad1:

Yeah, my side mirror dips from factory when in reverse and the side mirror is selected. When I was testing my PolarFIS Adv. I tested that function and that happened to mine as well. I deactivated it in the PolarFIS and kept it working in the cluster Comfort menu.

You might try posting that issue in the Polar Team forum. Eventually they seem to sort these problems.

I don't have memory seats as well, but my coding says I do and that's the only way it doesn't give out a miscoding error... I found it weird when I checked it.

I do have the power folding wing mirrors with puddle lights and reverse dip that I chose as an option when I ordered my Golf. It was a standard equipment from factory in the Sport trim level before 2006, I think (at least in Portugal).

It does say it will only work with cars that don't have it from factory.

Maybe i can enable memory seats any ideas on what i need to select?

You just select the driver's door module and the passenger's door module and code them with VCDS accordingly. You have to add the numbers following VCDS instructions.

Given up on the mirror tilt.

Any one got any pics of their screens on polar fis? Have no idea what to monitor where etc. I'm a quick learner though.

Bought a new gear stick and trim a few months back.

Installed the trim but not the gear stick finally installed the gear stick today.

Not sure on the white stitching?

The trim is already scratched :sad1:

Hope the wife doesn't notice as there in nothing wrong with the old one.

You'll have to convince her of the benefits of the CAI... That's what I try to to with mine. Overkill explanation of the benefits and she'll give in eventually to the new mods.

Good luck with keeping the CAI. I bet it's much more exciting to drive with it.

Received my new plate last week well happy with the smaller Alfa Romeo Acrylic Plate.

Started off well following this DIY http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=12447.0
Three magnets could not hold it so went with 5 in the end.
The glue has damaged the plate so i've ordered another one.
I'm thinking about using ten magnets on the inside of the grill and magnetic strips on the number plate. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I need to remove the gloss vinyl from the grill fill/sand it and re-wrap it.

Any advice for filling the grill? Should i put something behind the holes?
