Made a bit more progress on the boot build today. Wish i had bought some smaller amps.

The hinge works needs some beefing up here and there. Need to decide how to get the sub box into the spare wheel well.

Is there going to be air flow to cool the amps?
Yes mate a thermostat switch and a couple of pc fans. Maybe even some LED's :ashamed:

You can fit them, doorcar will bend out slightly but will be OK.

They are fitted but the plastic caps that go behind the mids popped off.

On hold at the moment as i'm waiting on some fibreglass to utilise the space in the spare wheel so i can fit the sub.

Did manage to deaden the boot though.

Started switching out the speakers in the drivers door. Luckily i did not have to take the outer skin off to get the cap behind the mid back on.

Things would have been much easier if i didn't solder the speaker wires.

As the mid is much smaller i will have to make more adaptors.  :sad1:

Yes mate did not realise they will be that small. I wonder if they have as much mid bass as the ones i took out.

Did you make adaptors to fit them?

Just mdf adapters.

They def aren't bassy but then I doubt this mids you had were either. The bass will all be coming from the 165 woofer and these little ones are for vocals.

Got two layers of fibreglass down. Wasted a lot of resin did not expect it to cure so quickly.

Very slow progress on the sub box.

Do not touch fibreglass if you have OCD. Come to think of just don't do anything if you have OCD.

Started to trim the glass down. Wish i had taped up the base as it's a fooking mess.
Must resist starting over.  :stupid:

Started to cut the lid for the back section of the box.
Manage to get some polyurethane glue to stick that sh*t down.

Yep i'd better finish soon the neighbours are not to impressed with all the sawing, grinding, sanding and dust.

Got the HSK's in one side. They do sound better than the ESK's. The ESK's sound harsh at mid to high volume.
Still got a sh*t load to do.
