Ebay Twintercooler

hi, m looking to have my car remapped early next year and looking to do all the hardware upgrades before I do so. I have seen this intercooler on ebay and wondering if anybody has had experience with them?

are they any good? a worth while upgrade for me when I have only got a panel filter with a 3" turbo back exhaust with sports cat?

From what I've heard they don't perform anywhere near as well as the branded ones, on repeated runs the cheap ones don't keep the temps down like a decent one will also the build quality is much poorer.

I think theyre basically the same as the EBay ones, the Airtec one is about £200 less than the Forge one and is supposed to be quite good.

At what stage is is it worth changing intercooler? As in what power is the factory cooler good for before it starts restricting it?

Even after just a remap they're helpful, when repeatedly accelerating on a hot day the stock one will struggle. Once you go stage 2/ 2+ is when you really need one though.

Hope ur right as I bought one anyways and have painted it black, havnt fitted it yet but looking forward to getting it on, came with forge hoses so decent quality hoses atleast lol

Hoses worth more than the cooler haha

yea I was thinking I would give it a go, looks a fairly easy job to fit it, im not expecting it to be anything great but if it helps keep the intake temps down its a nice cheap mod

you will feel more pull and torque once fitted if your car is already mapped.

I read a thread where someone had to purchase other clamps as his kit didn't come with them but hopefully you'll be fine.

Ahh not good to hear, mine has came with 6 clamps so should be fine with any luck.

Not got it mapped yet but that's next on my list as don't think I can justify the price of a hpfp but im sure I should get a decent gain as it is
