So, VW confirmed there was no comment on their system saying they had told me the DSG oil etc needed doing, although its does tell them to remind me. I questioned why hadn't I been told about it TWICE as I have had 2 services since 40k, and they said I slipped through the net.
I asked if they would do the work free of charge, and they said not really, as its down to the owner to make sure the services are kept up to date.... right, so its down to me to tell your mechanics what to do at each service?? She then asked how I new it needed doing, and I said I done my research, and found out. She then said it doesn't matter if its not done at exactly 40k.... er, its not like its a couple of thousand miles over due, its 20k over due!!!
Anyway, told them I want it done for free, as I am experiencing issues with the DSG, and if the oil change etc doesn't make a difference, then I have to pay another £140 for them to diagnose it, and they will either say they have no idea, or its not covered under warranty!! She called me back today, and said it was "checked" at 39k.
I said it wasn't, and she said according to her system it was, and if I pay for the oil to be changed, and it doesn't solve my issues, then they will look into it further.... but I have to pay!! I checked my service book, and on the date she said it was checked, there is nothing ticked under the DSG section, so as far as I am concerned its NOT be checked or changed.
Which, by the way, how do you check the DSG oil?
I am so annoyed, I can't help but think I am going to go through the same crap I went through only a year ago with a faulty DPF on my GT170.
