« on: November 15, 2014, 10:06:57 am »
I'm currently trying to decide which 18" alloys to put on my standard looking silver 5door gti, I have narrowed it down to 3 sets of wheels and would appreciate any opinions from you lovely people :D

The 3 I am looin at are-

1. Monza 2's

2. Bbs ch's in silver

3. Team dynamic pro race 1.2's in black

Ive both the TD's and the BBS VZ's. Both look great on a Mk5 which is why so many peeps go for them.....that and the offset/width/weight thing too.

On your Silver car, I'd get TD's in Anthracite.  :happy2:

I have 18'' Monza 2's fitted and tomorrow they are getting sprayed Matte Black in PlastiDip paint - my GTI has standard unpainted side skirts and valence
Will post pics tomorrow hopefully

How about the Audi A3 split rim Calito?

Failing that I would do the bbs vs to get that extra half inch over the edge rims and pull the tyre a little tighter and improve the handling ;-)

Personally if it's not bbs or the TD 1.2 or 1.3 then you are only doing it to be original / different and it's unlikely to look very good.
