Thanks!

Itll be a less rewarding PITA doing dualzone than the DSG so Im not going to bother. You will required the complete airbox assembly, sensors, AC pipes most probably, additional flap motors quite possibly, Custom wiring loom (on such mods I do it in situ), Climatronic control panel, system regas. Id estimate £300-500 in parts, components and install materials.

Used colour clocks are 250-300 mark but extremely rare. Dealers will be 450ish + VAT and want your old clocks back too.

Appreciate for the help mate. I'll give the dealers a go for the MFD. But if worse case scenario and they can't help, would this be suitable? http://www.carsystems.pl/golf-mk-6-premium-mfa-r-line-look-200-miles-h-celsius-gasoline-5k6920983lx,id1675.html obviously expensive, but convenient! The only thing is our cars cluster go up to 160mph not 200, does this matter? Would it be suitable?

Also really sorry for taking up your thread. I'd PM you but don't have the post count yet! Cheers.

Just popped in and they didn't seem very happy with me looking for one! Bloke refused to give me the part number my car was built with and told me that colour MFD's can't be ordered... until I told him to copy and paste my factory build cluster P/N and replace the 7 with an 8... always nice when you've got better knowledge of your car than they do! He said £489 inc VAT but as it's not 'like for like' there will be a 'hefty surcharge' - Another £450! So over 900 in total, I think I'll leave that

Those clocks are fine but they are very pricey!

Doesn't matter about the top speed, will be fine.

Dealers will be dealers lol

Hi mate, just bought a complete GTI leather interior for my Golf. I was just wondering if it is possible to fit them plug and play (without heating or other functions) until I can get all that sorted. Will there be any issues with different harnesses, seatbelt, airbags etc. Cheers

Doesn't matter about the top speed, will be fine.

Really, I thought a 180 may be ok to swap with a 160 as the divisions only change after 120 but a 160 has a different range all round doesn't it.

Or does it self calibrate to what ever the speedo shows?

If dials are not swapped and it is programmed to the car it will display correct speed.

Problems only arise if you for example get clocks reading to 160 and swap the background/disc to 180 as the clocks still think they are 160 so it will read higher speed than you are doing.

Not much happening recently..

Bosch wiper blades fitted today.

Got Lightning cable for my MDI media interface

Upgrading to MK6 GTI colour clocks, so will be selling my non-GTI mk6 petrol colour clocks soon  :happy2:

Contemplating TPMS high version too with pressures displaying on highline... hmm

Been lazy lately and a lot of bad, cold weather. Car has been driving well, not skipped a beat.

-GTI colour highline clocks now in and looking amazing

-Fitted full coverage engine undertray for better protection (and aerodynamics for what it matters lol) - EDIT - now removed as it was touching the exhaust downpipe flexy and didn't want it melting or a fire  :sad1: - think it only suits diesels despite it bolting up nicely. Think it is because turbo and exhaust manifold is at the front of the engine

-Replaced non res system with Milltek R32 resontated catback as I couldn't stand the motorway drone with the miles I will be doing now. Backbox is hanging quite low and touching my lower valance so maybe some trimming or adjustment required, but the tips line up beautifully  and no more drone. DSG farts are just audible going at full throttle. Guess things are a trade off sometimes

 pics to come..

MDI now updated to late 2012 to be compatible with OEM Lightening cable for Iphone 6's etc. All working beautifully and fully OEM, naturally haha

Tried to update the late 2010 one which came in my car from factory but it wouldn't play ball.

Polished up the Milltek first .... ooo shiny!

Fitted - Any thoughts on my fitting and positioning appreciated. Don't like how low it hangs but tips look spot on. As cars lowered its not so noticable.

Car needs a serious wash... Filthy!

The Milltek exhausts do hang really low, the BCS ones are a nearer option but I prefer the sound of my Milltek so sticking with it for now. Also, positioning looks good and nice polishing skills.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Thanks mate  ... I fitted it myself too! Had a nightmare getting the company to fabricate reducer dimensions, kept making too big leaving gaps.. could only do my best and my modification means I cant hear any blows. Will have to check and see after racking up some miles

I just finished reading this. Superb job on DSG conversion!
Hat's off to you sir!  :congrats: :congrats:

HMMMM...I'm now thinking if it can be done for my Cupra also...
Could you please tell me what are the steps for this operation? What wiring needs to be done?
