Emergency Advise Needed

I took the job of doing the cam follower replacement today, everything went fine apart from the Banjo Bolt, I tried to loosen the copper bolt above the Banjo Bolt which worked, but then I realised it will not undo because it is attached with a second bolt, but now the Banjo Bolt is leaking fuel, and i'm not to sure why, I have redone to bolt back up, but there is still a very small amount of fuel seeping out. 

I'm now worried.

Remove banjo bolt with M8 triple square tighten nut to HPFP properly then reattach the banjo bolt. If this still leaks you can have the banjo bolt and fitting that i've just removed from my car. If you pay the postage.

Thanks for your help, Im not to sure what I have done to the bolt because I cannot get the thing undone, at the moment I have put everything back together but it's still leaking at the Banjo Bolt. I just do not know what could be wrong because everything is tightened up good.

Anyone here have any solution for a bodge job just so I can get to a garage and get this looked at, do you think I could put some silicone sealant  around the Banjo Bolt to stop the leak, or would petrol find it way out.

If your going to try to seal anything temporary I would use PTFE tape

Thanks for the help everyone, at the moment I do not have a m8 tripe square bit so I cannot even get to the Bolt, I might just buy a replacement fuel pump and have done with it.

You will need an M8 triple square anyway. No point replacing the HPFP. Start over, remove pump properly tighten bolt to HPFP Install HPFP tighten banjo bolt.

The thing is, there is no way there should be that mush fuel coming out of the Banjo Bolt, I think I might have damaged the brass bolt which goes into the HPFP. Do you happen to know the part number for the brass bolt fixing that the Banjo Bolt is attached too?

The banjo bolt could be completely loose. I'd try refitting it before buying a new piece.

Yep, that what I'm going to do, once I get the M8 triple square tomorrow, I will take it apart and hopefully see whats going on. I will put an order in with VW for the parts just to be on the safe side. And then grovel to my boss and tell him I will not be in for a day or two.

Just like to say a big thanks for everyone advise yesterday, I managed to get that bloody Banjo Bolt out today, put everything back together, and made sure it was good an tight, and hay presto, no leaks at all. Thanks again.

Great glad you got it sorted. I've learnt the hard way if you don't have the correct tools don't bother.
