Xenon Lighting
« on: November 16, 2014, 10:21:50 pm »
Probably a daft question..but..
With my Ed30 fast approaching it's 8th birthday next March..I wonder do the Xenons 'age' over time therefore requiring new bulbs?

Plus anyone know how long Xenon bulbs are anticipated to last..is that more down to 'burn time' rather than car age??

Im in the same boat as you with my ED30 also mate.

Im sure the lights lose their "crispness" over time but i dont think it is too noticeable. I think the glass on the lights become cloudy and scratched over time and that can affect light output.
Either way, if you are in the market for buying new xenon bulbs, please be extra careful as there are plenty of fakes out there - especially on ebay!

Hope this helps,

Rich

Xenons do lose their power over time, usually end up looking a bit purple.  I changed mine this year, not sure how old my original bulbs were as they were 2nd hand.

Should do the trick when I replace my OG bulbs with fresh ones!  :happy2:

Why not try the OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited?

When mine start to go purple I'm betting on them. Link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161140101475

They do look good but are £100 inc postage instead of £57ish for the ones I posted!
Big difference in price for bulbs!
