Hi All,

I have a 2007 DSG Jetta 2.0 TFSI, with midline clocks, stalk buttons and cruise control.
I'm looking to upgrade to GTI Highlines, and also install a GTI MSFW with paddles.

What clocks do I need to buy? And also is there anything else I need to get? Will I need the highline control module aswell to use the MFSW buttons?

Thanks, Ben.

Hey Ben,

You can buy any highline cluster, but for the menu button to work you will need one with part number ending in 972,9873 or 974.

Alex Retro (Olsen-72) can supply and fit them for you

In regards to MFSW, yes you will need a Highline one. Follow this youtube video.

I had an Edition 30 with highline and MFSW, but can't remember if it had a stalk with the buttons on it.

Does the stalk with buttons still work? Whats the point in it once you have the MFSW buttons working?

Right so I just need to find a 972/3/4 cluster and I'm set? I'm based in Northern Ireland so will have to get a local crowd to do the coding. If i could get Alex retro to do it I would!

Highline Cluster Upgrade Info and FAQ's
« Reply #33 on: June 18, 2017, 07:11:54 am »
I've got myself a set of highline clocks went to get hem fitted on Friday and the garage had a problem they need some other bit of kit to read the code from the new clocks !

I've got a problem now with my own clocks the esp light and the tpms light is constantly on.

I've done the usual turn the wheel both ways then drive forward under 20kmh .

When I check with vcds I'm getting a few faults in the abs control module

Steering angle sensor,
Brake pressure sensor,
Lateral acceleration sensor all showing no or incorrect basic setting when I go to the adaption page to see the setting all I see is errors.

Any1 seen a fault like this before and could give me a nudge in the right direction

I will take a screen shot of the faults on vcds when I get a minute later !

Cheers

Have you actually done the basic settings?

Make sure you have read it all correctly, I drove for 6 months with the same lights as I didn't follow it correctly  :signLOL:

@RetroRaz will be along shortly

Hi guys, was wondering if I need to have a MFSW to have a highline cluster? Have a 973 one in my eBay basket at the moment, but maybe there's no point in getting it if I need a new steering wheel too?

How are you accessing the menu mij? By holding the wiper rocker button or menu button on sw?

I think if it was factory fitted with a 973, then it can work off rocker switch (like mine) but then i switched to a mfsw and it now works off sw menu button
