DVLA and Road Tax
« on: November 19, 2014, 08:32:25 pm »
just a heads up, all those paying for  6 months road tax by direct debit might want to check their bank account, dvla could have taken the first payment for the full price of the 6 months road tax, a good mate of mine and his son have both had it done to them, and after contacting the dvla, he was told this option was now not available for people only buying 6 months tax.

The other halfs came through recently.

£30 for the year in total
£31 for the monthly direct debit

Go figure!

I just taxed my s3 for 6mnths and was told monthly was not an option. I was going to go monthly if it was available.

I thought D/D was ongoing, and didn't stop until you cancelled it or sold the car?

Is anything plain, straightforward and simple in England?

I just set it up for the outlaws for their PD105, the only DD option was for 12 months.

If paying by six months it was taken in full (£76 something).
I guess we may get the six month DD option on the GTI/R32/ED30 with it being a lot more to pay than the diesels.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
