a bit of a problem vcds codes and i dont no where to start

hey had a few lil problems like my car being down on power limp mode and so on just wandered if any one could shed some light on the situation

its a 58 plate golf gt tdi sport L
2.0 bkd engine

My first port of call with any faults is the Ross-Tech Wiki site.

First one could be that the EGR is blocking up and needs a clean. They are prone for getting sh*t up.

Oh sweet iv just had a look there's a bit oil coming from the asv I guess there's a problem there

The ASV's are prone to failing also but you aren't getting the fault code for that. I took one apart a while a ago to see why it failed.

mate you are a legend i just had a look at the asv and theres oil coming out of it and that code did come up before on a different machine though that could be a cause i will price that up :-D
