I use Colinite 746S as a sealant, it keeps the water beading for 6-9months. . . It also has a bit of polish in too  :happy2:

I used glossworks glaze, jetseal 109 and autoglym super HD wax to protect mine for winter. Still holding up great and just a spray with a hose does most of the cleaning for me! http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,89106.msg902491.html#msg902491

Good to hear it! The bottles will last you for years considering it'll only need application maybe twice a year at most

Ideally if you had one use a sponge applicator pad and buff off with a clean microfibre.

Is the meguiars you're talking about a wax?

It's glaze first which acts as a filler for the swirls.

Then jetseal 109 the sealant

Finally the wax as a total all over protectant

ok will try to remember that! Glaze -> Sealant -> wax -> ready

In winter I would forget the glaze and just polish then seal, the sealant/wax will bond better to bare paint than applying it over a glaze product base. I'd recommend fk1000p as a wax, it's cheap, the tin lasts and last for years, look great and it's very durable  :happy2:

Have used, collinate for a few years.

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/collinite-476s-super-doublecoat-auto-wax/prod_207.html

or the collinate kit with carlack nano

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/collinite-476s-super-doublecoat-auto-wax/prod_207.html

have also played about with the collinate 845 liquid wax, which is similar to above.

Also now trying Fusso soft99, done a half & half on the bonnet, to see what its like.

I started using Fusso light about a month back. It's stupidly good for the money.
The gloss is amazing and it beads water like an expensive coating.
It also makes cleaning the car later on so much easier.
I stuck another coat on yesterday with the outside temp at 4 degrees and it went on and off easy.
Just make sure you use a very thin coat.

Did you not wax/seal your paint after it was machine polished

If not, why????

I'd go with Collinite 476s as a wax, so put 2 layers of that on (just to ensure a nice coverage) and then put a layer of spray sealant like Chemical Guys Hybrid v7 or Carpro Reload
No point putting 50 coats of whatever on as after about 2 or 3 layers you get no additional benefit.
