If you have a CH then use it, but there are loads of variants that could be used..AQ, BD etc. pretty much all highline type two ones listed in the Ross Tech wiki page.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

There is a list of the controllers on Ross Tech Wiki tells your exactly what each controller supports and which slip ring etc you would need. :)

Thanks for that mate. Just scanned my car and got the following info -

Address 16: Steering wheel        Labels: 1K0-953-549-MY8.lbl
   Part No SW: 1K0 953 549 F    HW: 1K0 953 549 F
   Component: Lenksäulenmodul 521 0050
   Coding: 0010042
   Shop #: WSC 01279 785 00200
   VCID: 356B3F0D5C5A571

How do you find out what slip ring i have currently? Is it just a matter of taking it out?

Looks like i'll be needing a airbag harness aswell then.....

According to the ross tech info i've got a type 2 slip ring.

1K0-953-549-F   Type 2   SW 0050   Midline - will the ch controller be highline and what will this give me extra?
