Gti - The full story
« on: December 04, 2014, 12:13:27 am »
Right thought i'd do a thread for my story from start till now.

The Beginning

I have had various vw's etc but purchased a mk5 gti 3 door around 2 years ago.

Some of the cars

Details on the first mk5 golf i owned.

mk5 golf - 2011 cdl engine.
k04 hybrid turbo
evoms intake
vr racing intercooler
miltek turbo back non res r32 exhaust
water meth injection
porsche throttle bodies

382bhp 390 ft lbs

ed30 interior
kw coilovers
alphards/merc sl600 alloys

pioneer p80rs headunit
hybrid audio legatia components
hybrid audio legatia pro tweeters
sundown audio rear components
sundown audio 100.4 amplifier
sundown audio x12 subwoofer
sundown audio 2500d amplifier

full respray tornado red
r32 rear end conversion
us spec smoothed plate recess
r32 rear lights

Now for the new car - doesnt really need any intro as it will be well known on here

Jamie's old gti

and as i collected

Plans - Stick new wheels on - I have 19" rotiform IND's and 19" audi speedline's already but think i will go with the roti's for now.
may look at 18's for the near future.

respray the splitter black to remove the purple.
new exhaust - bcs or emp performance i imagine
k04 or hybrid conversion
hpfp
intercooler
s3 injectors
upgrade brakes all round

install audio i have at home -
pioneer p80rs headunit
gladen audio 3 way components
gladen audio rear components
gladen audio sql 12" sub
gladen audio amplifiers

then i will be looking to retrim the interior - scirocco leathers, doorcards, ali trims, boot build

thats it for now.

Thanks

probably not for all as i've had a fair few, but the lupo, a4 and golf's at least.

The A4 hasn't been a cover car for Performance VW has it? Looks very familiar...

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Fair enough. All the modifications work perfectly together, very impressive stuff. If I get an A4 work horse, I'll definitely be annoying you for more info on yours to help me with mine!

Looking at your plans for Jay's old GTI, there's a nice set of Porsche 6 piston brakes and a few K04 turbos knocking about in the classifieds section right now. Few more posts and you'll be able to PM... :happy2:

How come you got rid of the red GTI? Looks like a proper weapon!

i fancied a new project, it has only gone to a mate down the road from me so i see it all the time anyway.
it is a weapon, not much kept up with it.
