sat nav question.
« on: November 30, 2014, 08:32:08 pm »
hi guys,

newbie to the forum, just got a mk5 golf 2l tdi, not quite the gti but was a forum i found that had a good database.

i've attatched pictures of the information of the stereo in the car as i have no idea what version it is, but it seems to think im out in germany....far from it, im in kent.

would it be a good idea to update the software or does anyone know how to fix the whole "im in germany" issue?

read that just now, thank you for the link, the germany issue matches up, but not the mp3 issue,

i run my mp3's off a 32gb sd card and it always plays from where the song was left off, same with a song playing from the hdd so its only the germany issue, not sure if that will affect that solution or not?

Sorry I was meaning more of the Regensburg Syndrome. Now you know what it is called you have a better basis of finding a solution. Pretty sure it has been well covered on here before too.

Bear in mind if you update firmware to 38xx or above, it repartitions the HDD so you'd need to reload all data - maps, POI, music on the hard drive etc.

It's a C version. You can upgrade to the FW 5238 modified and upload the latest map.
