Insurance re colour change on existing wheels.

Going to phone my insurance company to let then know about the colour change of my wheels but do i need to?

After all they are the same wheels!

I know its best to let them know but I would think its getting a bit petty to fail to insure me for this?

The spare wheel is black in colour and they would say anything about that, christ 2 months of brake dust would also change the wheel colour!!!

What do you think?

Insurance companies spend all there time trying every little trick in the book to not pay out or to limit the claim.
You might get away with it but you probably wont.

I wouldnt bother. Cupras come with 3 different colours of alloys. The insurance company do not know what colour I or the other cupra drivers have got.

just phoned them (MoreTh>n) was asked if it improved acceleration, top speed etc, good grief!!

If its a no then not a problem which is good news.

Better be careful with that all that polishing i do,  might get 0.00002 improvement on my acceleration!!

Put my mind a rest though.

if the car was in 500k smash (easily possible) you can bet to they'd know exactly what colour they're supposed to be. For the sake of a phone call and maybe a small charge you would be silly not to
