Remaps in Dorset
« on: December 08, 2014, 09:36:09 pm »
I know the whole remap thing has been done to death

Just fitted a 3" tbe with sports cat and its put the engine light on, I knew it would be was hoping for more than 50 miles before the car noticed something was different.

Can anyone recommend a tuner in Dorset who can do live maps on a rolling road?

I am torn between a generic map or a custom one as each have their pros and cons... there are lots of Revo dealers near me but not heard of any rolling roads.

Will probably fit a panel filter and leave it at that for now.

Thanks in advanced

Find a tuner that knows the TFSI engine, not just a guy who is willing to "have a go tuning it".

You want a pre-map health check to minimise problems after it's mapped  :happy2:

JKM are Revo dealers in Portsmouth and know their stuff with these engines and will make sure your happy.

If you after custom. . . There is one place that gets fantastic reviews on the forum, but is a long way off http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/board,61.0.html

To get a few more horses go for the pre-cat removal too, it's a cheap easy MOT-friendly mod

Cheers for the info,

Confirming my original thoughts, I guess each type of engine maps differently so its worth looking for a specialist.

Pre-cat has already gone as I have a new downpipe
