Question about rear window washer.
« on: December 09, 2014, 04:45:41 pm »
Hi All,

After a carp weekend I got a new rear washer motor and arm etc.  Question is.  Should the nozzle move with the wiper?

Before I replaced it the water pipe had broken so 80% of the water ended up in the boot hence me replacing it.

Logically thinking I'm assuming the water squirt should stay in 1 position i.e. shooting straight up the window and not follow the wiper like it did before?

Hope this makes sense to someone.

no mine stays in the same place hence the slot in the arm cap , moving means the jet is sticking in the centre of the motor plenty of wd40 and a bit of playing with should sort it if its stuck it will end up breaking where the rubber tube fits

Thanks, the copper pipe had snapped off the old motor hence it following the wiper around and most of the water shooting back into the boot.  It sits in one place now, I.E. shoots vertically up so one more problem sorted.

Thanks for the prompt response.
