Wheel wise, the proper way to protect them is with a ceramic coating. G-Techniq C5 wheel armour is the product you will want.
If you have just had your wheels refurbed, excellent! As this will mean that they don't require a full decon/clean up. An IPA/panel wipe, wipe down is all they will need to ensure that the surface is free from any residue/grease etc, which will allow the solution to cure properly and form the most amount of bonds.
Application itself is just wiping over the wheels surface with the application pads, gently buffing off the excess product immediately after coating the whole wheel. For the next 12hrs, they will need to be kept dry and some where 'warm' to ensure they fully cure.
Once all that is done, your wheels will be covered with an extremely durable ceramic coating that will resist brake dust/dirt with better effect than other sealants that have been mentioned. Should give around 2yrs of protection and only require cleaning with mild solutions, even just regular car shampoo
