While I was sealing my car I though what would be the harm using the same stuff on the wheels so I used jetseal109 followed by autoglym super HD wax.

Cleaning is much easier and brake dust never sticks now!

FK1000p is good as it's high temperature so designed to deal with higher temperatures that SOME waxes cannot deal with.
Usually you can actually use any wax on the wheels, anything is better than nothing...

However anything wheels would recommend going with a ceramic/silica based coating. Cquartz UK or Car Pro DLUX I would personally recommend. Other similar coatings are available also.

Try G-techniq. Brilliant stuff and last for ages to. Takes a bit of time n prep work to get them spotlessly clean but once its on, no dramas.

Which G-Techniq is for wheels?

I find that range is a bitch to get my hands on in Ireland!

I agree that poor boys wheel sealant has a great smell but i have to agree more strongly with the point that it doesn't last long enough. When i finish my pot of poor boys i'll be getting something else, sounds like that something will be FK1000p

Wheel wise, the proper way to protect them is with a ceramic coating. G-Techniq C5 wheel armour is the product you will want.

If you have just had your wheels refurbed, excellent! As this will mean that they don't require a full decon/clean up. An IPA/panel wipe, wipe down is all they will need to ensure that the surface is free from any residue/grease etc, which will allow the solution to cure properly and form the most amount of bonds.

Application itself is just wiping over the wheels surface with the application pads, gently buffing off the excess product immediately after coating the whole wheel. For the next 12hrs, they will need to be kept dry and some where 'warm' to ensure they fully cure.

Once all that is done, your wheels will be covered with an extremely durable ceramic coating that will resist brake dust/dirt with better effect than other sealants that have been mentioned. Should give around 2yrs of protection and only require cleaning with mild solutions, even just regular car shampoo
