You should be able to get one from your dealer for less than that.

scotta i have the same one. Bought it on ebay but you can get it on the official vw site.  I think it costs a tenner and yes it comes in a nice box.  Quality is top notch, and i would recommend.

I've one of the VW ''fast'' key rings but don't use it as it hurts like hell when it's in you'r pocket.

got the same one too. Don't rate the cardboard presentation box too highly but love the keyring.

Had to put another "ring" on the keyring as it kinda stuck intthe key fob. You will know what I mean when you get one.
No Golf anymore.
Enjoyed the last five years of ownership of Mk5 & 6 GTIs.
Plus an excellent forum for knowledge and new ways to deplete the bank account.
Thank You Everyone.

I got a GTi key ring about 5 months ago from VW mechandise.  Its a bit difficult to describe, but it was the one with a circular rubber disc with a metal GTI plate.

Not happy - it feel apart after 3 months... suggest you avoid that one if you come across it.

Now you mention it I had to change the ring also - i swapped it with the one off the mini keyring i got with the car (I bought it from Llyod Mini)

I had that one for a while and it did fall apart. The weak point is the rubber bit that the keyring goes through.

I've now got a metal square GTI one, the outer edge is brushed metal, then there's like an inner black bit with "GTI" in red (bit chipped now though). Looks quite swanky.
