Wheels
« on: December 12, 2014, 12:59:55 pm »
Looking at some winter wheels, can somebody let me know if 18x8 et25 will fit without spacers over standard ED30 brakes?
Had a look at different threads but couldn't really find what I wanted.
Thanks Mike

As above they'll stick out by miles. Realistically et40 is about your limit, std ed30 brakes are very easy to clear, you'll struggle to find something that won't fit over them.

If you are running quite low you will be able to get away with it with rolled front arches and 205/40 tyres.

But it's not an easy fitment to run

That's 8inch et27 front and 9 inch et25 at the back.

I'm literally running a standard edition 30, just looking at some wheels for the winter but don't want them sticking out any further than the arch
Cheers

^^^^ Loads of aftermarket wheels in 8" ET44 or 45. Would be a nice stance and no issues.

Funnily enough they were team dynamics pro race 1.2 and were cheap so was tempting but no point if they stick out, what offset are yours?

That's why I said funnily enough as yours was a car I was looking at when I was thinking of buying them in the first place!  :happy2:
Although these ones were in silver, I would have black for the right price.
I have also been a bit tempted by white ones for a bit of a rally look, I had white 1.2's on a yellow ibiza cupra so have always liked them.
Think unless the right set come up I'm going to keep my eyes open for a second set of pescaras or bbs ch to put on with winter tyres and can then also get mine refurbished at the same time.
