Downloaded the software, started to read the user guide, looks straight forward. I even can use an SD card to import the data as I understand. Just need the database for the speed cameras. How often do they change/update?

Hi,  the camera database updates are quite frequent, perhaps on a weekly basis, mainly as they include movement of mobile cameras. Since the process to add them to the VW Nav means putting them in as POI you probably only want to do this every few months, assuming you are worried about the mobile ones. For £19.99 you get the full UK camera database with free updates for a full year (pocketgpsworld), this allows you to get them as a file to use as POI and also can be used on a smartphone with Cameralert, or other warning software.

I have the full set of RAR files containing the V10 maps which is mentioned earlier in this thread and should also have the camera database soon, so if you want to avoid paying 4.99 euro to the downloading site which is hosting them I can make them available on Dropbox, which is free. PM me and I'll send you the link.

Haven't got the maps on the Nav unit yet, it needs the dual-layer DVDs due to the number of files so have ordered a pack, fingers crossed.

The current map version is V12 (2015). I posted a link for a torrent in Pirate Bay before it was closed. Now it should be available in the new Pirate Bay site.
