Best tyres
« on: November 18, 2009, 09:32:30 pm »
Had my car in at the dealers for a wheel bearing noise. They have told me that it's the Dunlop tyres that are faulty and need replacing thats why it is making the noise. The front ones are nearly on limit but the back have plenty of tread on them but have worn uneven. What tyres would u replace them with?

Conti sport contact 3s are the best tyres I've ever used. I much prefer them to both eagle f1s!

Everyone has their favs

But everyone hates DUNLOPS...

Got them on mine and I too thought the wheel bearings were knackered.  Even went over to see MATED30 who kindly had a test drive and confirmed the tyres and tyre pressure.

Can't bring myself to bin some nearly new tyres, so for now living with the noise.

But, when they wear through going to get some Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas.  Everyone who has a set recommends them
No Golf anymore.
Enjoyed the last five years of ownership of Mk5 & 6 GTIs.
Plus an excellent forum for knowledge and new ways to deplete the bank account.
Thank You Everyone.

I had conti sport contact 2's originally on my GTI and they are possibly the worst tyre I have used. Vreds or F1s, but more so F1s for me
