Best tyres

Had a 20 mile or so whiz around in the new tyres...and I got to say I am hugely impressed.  And that's in the wet - and I suspect the rubbers haven't been scrubbed in properly yet, so things can only improve further.

I'm comparing this to the Michelin Pilot Exaltos I just replaced.

ive heard aobout filling up tyres with nitrogen, but say for example you are going for a long journey and find your tyres are maybe 2-3psi lower tha  you want, ao you want to pump them up.  where do you go then. Cant say ive seen a nitrogen pump in a garage or service station. can you just mix air with it,

if so doesnt that just negate the whole point of nitrogen in the first place

You can mix normal compressed air with nitrogen - but it would progressively reduce the benefits as the nitrogen content was displaced. 

Otherwise, Kwik-fit provide free top ups if purchased from them.

It's actually a mandatory requirement for aviation tyres, and also used extensively in F1... I thought it would be worth a try.  It's quite a cheap and cheerful thing to try out.

Mojo - It is mandatory in aviation tyres, mine are about the same size as a 255/70/15 and get 160psi! Temp range is +50/-50 its also an inert gas i.e. no o2 which is good if you have hot brakes

Was a bit strapped for cash having just got back from a week away abroad on holiday... thought I'd give a pair of 'Marangoni Mythos' a go for 90 quid each fitted at Kwik-Fit.

It's early days...but I got to say I am pleasantly surprised for a set of mid-range tyre - even in the wet.

I have just replaced all 4 of my Sunew's (don't laugh) with Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetricos and they are obviously miles better but to be honest I still prefer the Pilot Sport 2's. I would have bought them again but the F1's were quite a bit cheaper and everyone was raving about them

Nope, they're not! I had them on my BMW and they were utter SH1TE!
I also bought a wheel and tyre package with these on, but swapped my existing PS2's on the the new wheels and gave the Nankangs to my brother for his 320d. He was furious at the lack of grip
