dont get Exaltos just to match the back, they are very poor compared to PS2's (and F1 assym I would surmise)
I have Exaltos on the back from new and they refuse to wear down  :signLOL:
Ok on the rear but truly mince when on the front.......
some would be concerned about the F/R grip bias but it suits me

matching F/R brands I can kinda see, but then you either have a matching set of good or sh*t tyres.
never allows you to move or try ever improving tyre technology as well

Anybody tried the Falken ZE 912 ?. My tyres have them for just over a ton fitted.

I swear by F1's, bet never tried the others on that list. Have you considered the PS2 are possibly are fair bit dearer into your thoughts?

if your after a combination of wet and dry performance, then the vredesteins IMO pip the others and are about £30+ per corner cheaper.

if your after pure dry weather performance trhen prob

1-Michelin PS2
2-F1's/vreds joint second

cant comment on the falkens

bear in mind though winter is approaching the compound in the PS2 is known for being rubbish in the cold. similar with the F1s. cant comment to much on the vreds not sure how they compare in the cold.

its gonna be vreds for me, just got a quote of 470quid for 4 235/35/19's delivered, looking at the reviews they get, at that price I can't afford not to give them a try :smiley:

in the short time i have had the PS2's fitted, i must say i am hugely impressed.  i got them fitted for exactly £500 all in, by my local mobile fitter.

225/40/18's 92y XL.

that price is very good fitted.

was going to say that it would be worthwhile to get the PS2s in that case over the vreds, but then noticed the vreds that gazbutS3 bought were 19" and 235, and still cheaper.

im getting Toyo R888s for the summer and havin my vreds as an all weather tyres

I wonder why the ps2's get so much praise on here?? Reviews generally place them as average or bottom half? They are quite an old tyre these days?!

it is widely regarded as one of the best tyres on the market, irrelevant of how longh its been out.

the ponly place it loses out against others really is wet weather grip

My local tyre fitter says that they were a great tyre in their day but tyre tech moves very quickly and they are just behind the pace next to the new boys
