Bit of a long shot, but is there a way of implementing some sort of auto-check on new posts to search for a selection of key words or phrases? Thinking that if it's possible, set it up so that when people post the same old "what mods do I choose" or "what are common problems", the forum itself can suggest a sticky post/relevant section to search in?

Might help the moderators out and reduce the number of repeated discussions on the forum...

Would probably be quite hard to implement so that it was actually any use...

@dazza ??

dazza:
It may be possible to add an ajax search to the topic title so as you type it will bring up topics with similar titles.

dazza:
OK i found a mod but the search function is sh*t.

It also adds similar topics to the bottom of topic page. (can be removed) not looked at the relevance of these.

I've rebuilt the search using boolean search function but it ignores certain words (what where etc)
So if you type "what are the common problems" it will only match the text in red

@th3_f15t A bit of testing please.

@rich83 you can also disable it from certain boards and limit results to the current board

rich83:
Extra server load. Not sure the posts at the bottom of the pages are really much help.
