The main search function does not put much strain on the server.
And unless every user posted a new topic at the same time this new feature will hardly affect the server.

Would love to take you up on that bet, but I'm no moderator so can't monitor the forums properly... :P May give you £100 just for a speedy response to another crazy idea of mine though.
