How do you fit LED interior lights for the front?
« on: December 21, 2014, 06:51:01 pm »
Hi guys,

I've watched both videos, and looked at guides on how to change the interior bulbs, but the fronts are causing me trouble!
I've changed the middle one, it's just the left and right one I can't seem to do, there doesn't seem to be any room for the bulb

These are the bulbs I'm using:

And this is where they need to go:

I tried removing the chrome surround, and as you can see in the picture I managed to loosen it a bit but it doesn't seem to want to fully unclip, despite putting quite a lot of force into it.

If anyone can help me out, that'd be great!
Also having trouble with the foot well lights  :signLOL:

Cheers :happy2:

I think looking at this pic they go in from the back

the black holders twist out and then change bulbs and twist back in remember leds only work one way test before refitting  :happy2:

@Carpy25 is correct they go in from the back. I spent ages trying to get them in watching videos doing it from the front before resorting to the Haynes manual which said to remove the whole unit.

That's made me feel slightly less stupid now haha!
None of the guides I found showed how to remove the whole unit, are either of you able to shed some light on this? (Pardon the pun)  :signLOL:

Cheers!

Here's a manual on how to remove the light unit, once this is done you should be good. I didn't actually unplug the unit as I could get to the bulbs without doing it so its up to you, I guess it would have been even easier to unplug it  :rolleye:
