Hide my milage!
« on: November 29, 2014, 09:20:49 am »
Morning

Is there any way to code out the milage on my highline display so it can temporary hide my milage so I cant see it? :happy2:

Some newer cars you can scroll though the trip meter and milage so it can't be seen. Just don't like to see the millage rise! Perfectly legit honest lol

I feel your pain.

I'm sure I physically felt the car de-value as I went from 99,999 to 100,000 miles! Now at 101,500 but still so much fun.  :driver:

My wife has a Mazda 2 - On that you choose Trip or Total. Needless to say, she doesn't know her total mileage.

The more it rises the more you are getting the money's worth out of it - and the more fun you are having.

Cars are meant to be driven so think of it as a good thing  :happy2:

I've found on the MK6 if you leave cruise control switched on (but not active) it hides the mileage whilst moving

Use a thin bit of black tape along the whole bottom, preferably electrical tape with sharp scissors to cut the ends for a neat finish. Make a little "blanking" plate so to speak.

Cheaper and quicker than coding.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!
