Evening all,
While fitting my RCD310 today i noticed this wire removed from the multiplug loom, anybody shed some light on what it is?

it is what is done if retrofitting the vw ipod adaptor
it is the ground for the radio, the ipod kit piggy backs off it and has a wire that goes into the quadlock
