coming soon

Coolio  :jumpmove: :jumpmove:

Tom, get yourself some bolt ons and stage 2+.. Along with the Revo S-Tronic map I honestly think your car would be looking at low 12's in the 1/4!! Do it!!

yes we will need to know which version of stock software your car has before a file will be released to your dealer so if you can pre-emt it by sending a screenshot from VCDS to your dealer in advance it will make the process smoother for sure!

Could you please elaborate further on exactly what screen shot in VCDS is required?

As for the map itself, does it change the shift points in D when pootling along?

Just a screenshot of the gearbox control module in VCDS

at part throttle the box will behave as stock! at full throttle shift points have been raised!

Hi Carl,

Can you explain a little about the differences between DSG Stage1 and Stage2 please?

Not to steal Carl's thunder but this is what Kev has said about the differences:

"You can’t use stage2 DSG software on any K03 car, it’s too much and it won’t upshift in 5th/6th gear.
Stage2 is designed for K04 Stage2+ and for GT3071 cars. The differences are the launch control rpm setting, and the sport mode rpm/load/throttle plate shift maps".
Without traction power is nothing!

Scientific fact: It's good. Really good.

I've not had a great deal of a play, but some hooning around Cheshire's finest backroads in M confirms it works very well indeed. Seems somehow smoother, which I didn't expect, almost like a seamless CVT in D.

Main thing I've noticed - when getting near the limiter, it felt like power tailed off. Then when in the next gear up, there'd be a tiny bit of lag. I thought it was just the K03 running out of puff.

Now, I realise it makes power all the way up to the limiter. You shift and whammy, instantly it's back on full power. No lag... who needs a fancy WOT box

This is going to be very good on the track.

@ bacillus: Thanks, yet again for being so helpful and informative  :drinking:

@ tony_danza: Smoooothness is what immediately struck me back in March on an early version of Stage1 (K03). It's subtle but very, very good.

When I went on JKM's dyno a while back, they didn't know at first about my Revo DSG and I remember them saying it felt different and easier on the rollers for their purposes.

So, I take it makes the car faster - or just easier to drive?

....Not faster in mph terms but faster in response.

Also easier in terms of more direct response. I'd say more fluid and smoother.

So the car feels faster. I can only offer my view re K03 GTI's.  :happy2:

This may seem like a stupid question but im going to ask anyway.....

I havent got a map, totally standard, would / is this map available to standard cars, i drive using manual mode quite frequently and it would be great to iron out the niggles that have been mentioned before. If anything just free up the changes and feel a little more direct.

....Not a stupid question at all.

It's totally independent of the ECU map (as I understand it) and will definitely be of some joy - It's primarily designed for and works better for M-mode than anything else. I drive 95% in M-mode too. I've been driving with Revo's DSG pre-release version since March - It's very good. It is subtle on a K03 car though.
