Trouble filling up? Clicking out after like 50p?
« on: December 28, 2014, 09:54:30 pm »
Hi guys,

Having some trouble with my mk5 golf gti dsg,

When I go to fill up sometimes it'll just keep clicking out? I can hear the air rushing around? So I try and wiggle the nozzle or go a bit slower but doesn't seems to help  I'll be literally no where near full? Sometimes I'll be 50p in and it'll stop then it'll let me do a few more pence click again then again.

As you can imagine it's rather bloody annoying!!

It doesn't seem to matter whether the car is hot or cold, it doesn't happen everytime but still I'd like to fix it?

Is there a pipe that's blocked? Or something not connected maybe?

It's not showing any lights on the dash?

Any help would be much appreciated

the tank vents to the unit front left of the engine bay the vapour condenses there before being returned to tank or getting used by the engine  , there could be a kinked pipe or something .
I too have problems now and again try turning the gun upside down normally works for me , had a 911 (996) that I could only fill inverting the gun on every pump
