« on: December 23, 2014, 04:37:32 pm »
Hi,

Found a set of porche wheels local to me.

What are they offset etc for these wheels? and what tyre sizes should I need for a mk5 GTI?

You aware that Porsche alloys are a 5x120 stud pattern, where as VW Golfs are 5x112, so you'll need adaptors which will push the wheel out even more? It's not impossible but something to factor in as well as the (likely high) offset.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Yeah, sad as it is as Porsche wheel do look good. Plenty of people have done them, but it's fairly involved work, usually requiring a bit of modification to your arches, VERY careful planning and choice of adaptors/tyres. Don't be totally scared off, go Google it and see what is required. If it was impossible no-one would of done it already.

Those adapters won't fit as they would be for bmw fitment.   Porsche are 5*130 fitment,  love a set of those porkas on mine

5x130?! Jesus... I thought they were 5x120, my mistake!

Just sayin'... :happy2:

think you could get away with the front arches not being rolled, but rolling would give you better scope.

rears could be cambered and will sit nice.

The rears are very wide on the Porsche wheels as I was thinking about them but lost interested due to the fitment issues.

Best bet will be to get 4 fronts  :happy2:
